1. About SkillWala

SkillWala ("we", "us", "platform") operates an online marketplace connecting customers with independent service professionals ("Workers") across India. We are a technology platform — not an employer of Workers.

2. Using the platform

• You must be 18+ to create an account or book services.
• Information you provide must be accurate and current.
• You agree not to misuse the platform, post false reviews, or harass Workers or customers.
• Workers listed on SkillWala are independent contractors responsible for their own work quality and conduct.

3. Bookings & payments

• Prices shown are indicative hourly rates; final charges may vary based on job scope.
• Online payments are processed via Razorpay. Cash-on-completion may be available for select bookings.
• SkillWala may charge a platform/service fee (disclosed at checkout when applicable).
• Cancellation and refund rules are described in our Refund Policy.

4. Worker verification

We review Worker registrations and may verify identity documents (including Aadhaar last-4 verification). Verification is a good-faith check — it does not guarantee performance or safety. Customers should exercise reasonable judgment.

5. Limitation of liability

SkillWala is not liable for direct dealings between customers and Workers, property damage, personal injury, or disputes arising from services performed. Our liability is limited to the amount paid through the platform for the specific booking in question, to the extent permitted by Indian law.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
