Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

• Account: name, email, phone number, password (hashed).
• Bookings: address, pincode, job description, payment method.
• Workers: profession, photo, city, pincode, experience, availability.
• Verification: Aadhaar last 4 digits only + document image for admin review. We never store your full 12-digit Aadhaar number.
• Technical: browser type, IP address, cookies/local storage for login sessions and theme preference.

2. How we use data

• Facilitate bookings between customers and Workers.
• Send booking confirmations via email/SMS (with your consent).
• Verify Worker identity and display trust badges.
• Improve platform security and prevent fraud.

3. Data sharing

We share necessary booking details with the assigned Worker and customer. Payment data is handled by Razorpay — we do not store card numbers. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

4. Aadhaar data

In compliance with UIDAI guidelines, SkillWala stores only the last 4 digits of Aadhaar for verification matching. Uploaded documents are kept securely and accessible only to authorised admins. You may request deletion after account closure.

5. Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing support@skillwaala.in. We respond within 30 days.

6. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and session tokens. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong password.
